As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Belaichhari has a population of 17973. Males constitute are 55.39% of the population, and females 44.61%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 9547. Belaichhari has an average literacy rate of 21% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
