Beitun District
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beitun District (traditional Chinese: 北屯區; pinyin: Běitún Qū; Wade-Giles: Pei-t'un Ch'ü) is the largest district in Taichung, Taiwan Province, the Republic of China. Located in the northern part of the city, it is a half mountainous, half urban area. Though Beitun District used to be considered part of the countryside, the new TaiYuan train station has urbanized it considerably.
The Dakeng Scenic Area, one of the most famous scenic spots of Taichung, is located in Beitun District.
Also, Morrison Academy's main campus is based there.
