[edit] Summary
This image, Behind_The_Screen_Radio_Times_Billing_1930.jpg is being uploaded here; though the picture is subject to BBC copyright I (JohnTomlinson) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because the use of a page of a magazine to illustrate an article is allowed. The image has been scanned by myself from a facsimile held in my possession and has then been reduced in size and cropped. The illustration is singed by "Relt" but no other identification of or information about the artist is known. As the illustration dates from 1930, it is out of the seventy year copyright rule in the UK. This scan is purely for linking to the Wikipedia article on the page for The Scoop and Behind The Screen by Agatha Christie and no other use should be made of it.
[edit] Licensing
This image is of a magazine cover, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the magazine or the individual contributors who worked on the cover depicted. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of magazine covers
on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use as well as the source of the work and copyright information. |
