Behrouz Safarzadeh

Behrouz Safarzadeh or Behruz Safarzadeh (بهروز صفرزاده in Persian) (born April 25, 1969 in Tehran, Tehran province, Iran) is an Iranian scholar, graduated from The University of Tehran, 1992. He has published some papers on Persian and Arabic language and literature. Sponsored by Iran Language Institute (ILI), his latest work, Persian Beginner's Dictionary, is due to be published in 2007. This Persian learner's dictionary has some 5,300 entries, all chosen carefully on the basis of their frequencies in today's Persian. The definitions are written in plain Persian, using a defining vocabulary. The dictionary is stuffed with over 27,000 examples, showing how the words are used in natural context. Among other dictionaries compiled by Behruz Safarzadeh are: A Dictionary of Arabic Morphemes in Contemporary Persian and A Dictionary of Arabic Broken Plurals.
