Behr (paint)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Founded in 1947 by Otho Behr Jr., BEHR is a manufacturer of interior and exterior residential paint, and is known for their extensive range of available colors (over 1,800 colors are represented at most Behr paint-swatch kiosks). Behr has also created an automated paint-mixing software system used in all Home Depot stores, which automatically dispenses the proper amounts of pigments into the paint upon entering a four-digit color code printed on each color swatch. The company is based in Santa Ana, California. Home Depot is the exclusive retailer of Behr paint.
Behr is pronounced like the animal "bear" and its logo on its cans in fact includes the outline of a bear.
