Behat is a town and a nagar panchayat in Saharanpur district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Behat had a population of 17,177. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Behat has an average literacy rate of 51%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 59% of the males and 41% of females literate. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
