As the album was recorded, Tony Yayo was sentenced to jail on charges of gun possession, and so makes only two appearances on the entire record. His face is seen on the brick wall of the album cover because he could not be photographed on account of his jail sentence.

Beg for Mercy has sold 2.7 million units in the U.S.[1] and four million copies worldwide.[2] It has been certified 2× platinum by the RIAA.[3]
