[edit] Hines House Picture?

Hey man, I took a picture of the house which should logically be at 1103 Adams Street. Well, this is what was there.

Since I couldn't find a numerical adress posted, I assumed this is correct. The architecture on the house certainly looks old and it would explain why you couldn't find the house when you looked for it.

On a different note, since you've done a lot more historic site entries than I have, I'd like your opinion on my write up of Riverview at Hobson Grove. Thanks in advance! I'm planning on adding two sites on the National Register of Historic Places, Cherry Hall and Van Meter Hall, both located on the campus of Western Kentucky University.

Regards,

OPMaster (talk) 21:10, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I have doubts that that is the Hines House; doesn't look like a place where a man of Hines' stature would live in. I'll ask the Kentucky Historical Society. Your two article look very nice; your Cherry Hall article could get a DYK nom from me if some interesting fact is added and cited.--Bedford Pray 22:31, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
I've looked, and it could be; Hines House is said to be Federal architecture, which is mostly brick.--Bedford Pray 23:02, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
I know it seems odd that R.C. Cola would now be using it as an office, but I've seen stranger things happen. I finished the Van Meter Hall article, if you're interested in having a looksee.

[edit] Bowling Green NRHP Sites

Thanks to your initial message about the Hines House, I've gone a little bit bonkers documenting NRHP sites here in Bowling Green. I'm wondering, is this insignifigant, or is there a real drive on to document every single place on the NRHP? I added the Western Kentucky University Heating Plant, but I really wonder how many people would actually care to read the article about it.

Anyway, just thought you might get a kick out of inspiring somebody to write up a bunch sites in this area of the state.

Regards, OPMaster (talk) 00:05, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm glad to here I encouraged you like this. There are two monuments on the National Register in Fairview Cemetery. One I already have pictures of, but the other I still need. I'd appreciate you taking pictures of it.--Bedford Pray 00:58, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I assume you mean the Perry Monument? If so, I'll see what I can do when I'm off again.

OPMaster (talk) 01:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Awesome, that's it; I forgot its name. If you lengthen the Heating Plant article a little bit, you can get another DYK out of it.--Bedford Pray 01:14, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I know I must seem terribly ignorant, but what do you mean by another DYK?

OPMaster (talk) 01:35, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

See Template talk:Did you know. I nominated Van Meter Hall yesterday after I added enough so it qualified lengthwise.--Bedford Pray 01:40, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I updated and expanded the Heating Plant article, maybe now it's DYK elgible.OPMaster (talk) 01:54, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] House of the Temple

Is this building's history in anyway related to the Belmont Mansion? APK yada yada 04:49, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Other than the fact they are important buildings to two separate affiliated bodies to Freemasonry, I don't think so.--Bedford Pray 04:52, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok, that's one of the buildings that I took a picture of thinking it was a NRHP. It sure does look like one. It's massive. APK yada yada 04:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm surprised its not. Maybe ask Doncram?--Bedford Pray 05:04, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DYK

I see you moved McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink in to next. You left the phrase (pictured), but did not put it in the pictured position or add the picture. I assume this was a mistake for leaving the phrase in, but was hoping you had wanted to use its picture.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 23:54, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
