Becky Stearns is a fictional character in the alternate history 1632 series.

Born as Rebecca Abrabanel, the beautiful Morrano daughter of the influential Jewish Doctor Balthazar Abrabanel, and the fictional bride-to-be of Mike Stearns making the pair two of the most prominent protagonists (and second romantic couple) in Eric Flints alternate history epic, the 1632 series. Better known as Becky Stearns from her rule-bending television shows, Becky acts as the engaging intelligent perspicacious reasonable feminine counterweight to the comparatively more rough and tumble future President of the 'New United States' and in short order becomes first the darling daughter (princess in truth) of the town of Grantville, Thuringia as it struggles to cope with its sudden manifestation in Central Germany, 1631. She also becomes its first National Security Advisor (16310, First Senator (1632) in the New United States (NUS), and special envoy to France and the Ambassadoress to the Dutch Republic (1633-1634).

Born in Spain, reared in England and Amsterdam, Becky is very well educated, very widely read, and articulate in many languages of the Northern European region. She and her father were rescued from marauding mercenary soldiers pursuing their carriage in the Battle of the farm house (second phase) by Stearns and a posse made up of UMWA miners deputized by Chief of Police Dan Frost shortly after the Ring of Fire event. During the aftermath of the town wide meeting establishing an emergency committee she was named as National Security Advisor to Stearns as head of the Grantville Emergency Committee. Becky provided the Stearns cabinet officers with valuable 17th century perspectives, explanations, and background politics while performing the occasional delicate task of translating during crucial negotiations.
