Becky Hunter is a former broadcast journalist for STV Central's regional news programme, Scotland Today.
Hunter obtained a MA honours degree in English literature and a post-graduate certificate from the National Council for Training of Broadcast Journalists. She freelanced at BBC Radio Newcastle as a reporter and researcher before joining Radio Clyde's news department on a full-time basis.[1]
Hunter joined STV as a production journalist in April 1997 and within eight months, began presenting news bulletins. She remained at STV until April 2006 when she accepted voluntary redundancy along with several other Scotland Today journalists in a round of mass redundancies.
Hunter is married to former Scotland Today reporter Matt Bingham.
