Beckum, Netherlands

Beckum is a small village 2 miles (3 km) south of Hengelo, Netherlands. The village lies in the municipality of Hengelo, between Hengelo and Haaksbergen.
Beckum has approximately 990 inhabitants, with about 520 inhabitants in the village itself, and 470 in the surrounding countryside.[1] At the center of the village is the Roman-Catholic Blasius-church, founded in 1464.
