Beckett Media is a privately held subsidiary of Apprise Media. Founded in 1984 by Dr. James Beckett, the company focuses on the collectible industries, especially in the area of sports collectibles.[2] It currently publishes twelve sports related magazines, four magazines covering non-sports collectible card games, a plushie series, and online gaming. plushie series. Beckett Media also runs a sports card grading service, Beckett Grading Services, which is the exlusive grader and authenticator of Topps Vault trading cards.[3][4] Beckett Media also publishes price guides and other books related to collectibles and distributes sports memorabilia.[3]
