[edit] Song information

Five other versions of the song have surfaced, one with an extended ending, one featuring rapper AC, S-One, Michael Jackson, Joe Budden and another with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The official remix is with Kanye West. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 84 in March;[3] it reached the top ten in May when it climbed from number 39 to number 5 in one week.[4] The song has become his second-most successful song in the U.S., after his 2006 #1 hit "So Sick". It has now reached a peak at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also peaked at number 4 in the UK.

The beat used is somehow unique in the R&B style. The main melodic instruments are: muted harpsichord and guitar, whilst the groove uses a bass/clap beat combined together. The groove is heavily influenced by the disco style guitar with delay.

The song's music video was premiered on Access Granted on March 14, 2007. The video was first shown on BET 106 and Park. A first look of the video was shown on TRL also. Also, the video has garnered over 10.8 million views on Youtube. This song was also featured in the film Are We Done Yet?. The song is also featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV. The song is actually about being with someone that he's not supposed to be with, such as his ex-girlfriend, while still dating his girl, and the fact that Ne-Yo becomes addicted to sex after he started "seeing" the seductress and his girlfriend at the same time.

Ne-Yo has stated that the song was a continuation from his last single, Sexy Love.

[edit] Video

Ne-Yo begins the video dancing using Elvis Presley moves, singing and then turns to a scene where he is at the club with his girl and the seductress brushes past him and he decides to follow the seductress instead of dancing with his girl, in the bathroom the seductress and Ne-Yo kiss and then she leaves him feeling "high and dry", then he washes his face comes out and dances with his girl. The next scene he is in the bedroom with his girl and they fall asleep and the seductress calls Ne-Yo and tells him to come out to the pool with her. He then slips on some clothes and shoes wearing no socks because he plans on going out to the pool. He then gets to the pool and as he meets her there he slips off his sneakers barefoot of course and he then slips his feet into the pool. They take photos and they kiss once again. He's then back in the bedroom with his girlfriend getting ready to have sex but he keeps seeing the seductress in his mind and as she pops in and out of his head he stops and goes. The last scene Ne-Yo is seen dancing in a room with just socks on doing James Brown's classic leg shuffle slide.

Ne-Yo's girlfriend is played by Camila Alves, Matthew McConaughey real-life girlfriend.
