[edit] Election candidate lists
This is an interesting suggestion, and I'd like to think on it further before making any decisions. I could see some possible difficulties -- for instance, in situations where someone runs for more than one party -- but these probably wouldn't be insurmountable. I'm certainly open to the possibility of running with this (so to speak).
(Btw, I've always come up with a solution for by-elections -- see Green Party candidates, 2003 Manitoba provincial election for a demonstration). CJCurrie (talk) 03:02, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- I could see some possible difficulties -- for instance, in situations where someone runs for more than one party -- but these probably wouldn't be insurmountable.
- I'm having second thoughts about this now. When I wrote the above, I was only thinking of the relatively infrequent occasions where a candidate conciously defects from one party to another (Brison, Stronach, and so forth). Reflecting a bit further, though, the new method you've proposed could also create difficulties in situations where a candidate runs for the same party (or different parties) at the provincial and federal levels. For that matter, covering the recent slate of Reform/Alliance/PC/Conservative candidates could be more than a bit awkward.
- I think I'm inclined to stay with the existing model for now, though I'm still open to suggestions for change/improvement. CJCurrie (talk) 20:13, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pelmorex Radio Network redid stations page
Hi Bearcat, it's been nearly six months since anyone has modified the Pelmorex Radio Network page, so I decided to redo the stations list earlier in a better format by Community, callsign, old frequency, current frequency and notes. I think it looks better and tidier. Please let me know what you think! thanks :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.122.159 (talk) 06:12, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Update: I moved "Pelmorex also converted most of its AM stations to the FM band" at the end of the article. As far as I know, Pelmorex did not convert any of the AM stations to the FM band in 1994, until about 1996 and were completed by 1999, when Pelmorex sold all the remaining stations to Telemedia and Haliburton Broadcasting, etc. Make sense? You have edited the category Quebec communities with important anglophone populations.
Surely, this should be Quebec communities with

As it stands, the word important is a Gallicism. This should be corrected. - Basking in the sun (talk) 14:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Designated places in British Columbia
Hi Bearcat, I see you created this cat back in January...what's its purpose, i.e. "designated" as what? Also pls note new Central Coast subcat in Category:Coast of British Columbia, South Coast cat and other subsubs coming...(see Category talk:Coast of British Columbia, although I haven't started my subregion dicsussion there quite yet (later today).Skookum1 (talk) 18:26, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I see from the Designated places article, which I found via the parent-parent cat, taht this seems pretty much redundant with Category:Unincorporated settlements in British Columbia, unless Designated places is meant to include inside-municipal places as well like Ruskin, British Columbia and Haney, British Columbia (both part of Maple Ridge).Skookum1 (talk) 18:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pelmorex Radio Network
(Update April 17)
I moved "Pelmorex also converted most of its AM stations to the FM band" at the end of the article and re-did it as: "The next year, Pelmorex sold the remaining stations to Haliburton Broadcasting Group and also converted most of its AM stations to the FM band. [1]". As far as I know, Pelmorex did not convert any of the AM stations to the FM band in 1994, until about 1996 and were completed by 1999, when Pelmorex sold all the remaining stations to Telemedia and Haliburton Broadcasting, etc. Make sense? Take care! :-)
[edit] Re: Pelmorex Radio Network and CFOK (AM)
Hey Bearcat, thanks for adjusting the Pelmorex radio article, however, I think you've forgotten to add the references part so I added it. As for CFOK, I appologize for adding old links to the article.
Other radio related stuff:
Nice to see that User:Nathan Williams, now known as User:Nathan Jay Williams has created "real" articles in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He created CIJK-FM and it exists on the recnet.com page that i've been having a ball at! He also added some rebroadcasters of CITA. I check his contribs from time to time to make sure that I don't find anymore hoax articles. I was surprised to find out the other day that someone had added a hoax radio station to the Espanola, Ontario article and has been removed by you, thanks. Looks like I missed that one!
About a month ago, I moved CBA (AM) to CBAM-FM. Their old AM transmitter was turned off on April 7, 2008 and I managed to listen to the action online and soon after they turned the old transmitter off, I added some information. Sad to hear that another CBC powerhouse AM 50 kw transmitter has been turned off! who's next?
Thanks again for adjusting the articles.
Take care! :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.122.159 (talk) 06:03, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

I find it hard to stay on for more than a couple of hours and even so my eyes absolutely kill me and here you are to the normal person and they would say you live on wikipedia. I mean more than 100K edits, not thats just ridiculous. It really is, i mean thats hard to fathom for the human being. When did you start editing? You must have changed your username because you dont have a user creation log for Bearcat. How has it been these past years, do you ever get tired of it? [edit] Re: CHXC-TV and CHXE-TV
Hey Bearcat, yeah it does look as if they changed their callsigns. If you take a look at the charts and at the very bottom of them in the section called Update on these 2 pages from the CRTC (Calgary station and Edmonton station), it says they were changed. Not sure on when the change took place, I can only assume it was on the date listed beside them. Hope that helps, later! MusiMax (talk) 23:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Terry Anderson (politician)
Can you please let me know why this article was severely reduced and redirected to "Conservative Party Candidates"? Terry Anderson is indeed a conservative party candidate but he served 3 terms on Hamilton City Council and I would have thought that qualifies under the notability criteria which specifically refers to members of local government. [edit] Re: Another one
Hey, I'm not entirely sure if OUTtv actually owns a part of OUTtv Netherlands or not, I'm pretty sure they don't own all of the channel, but from what I can tell from it, it looks as though they just have a programming and brand licensing deal, rather then owning any part of the channel. From the blog on OUTtv's website here (go to the section Global Brand) and various other blogs/websites in Dutch, that seems to be the case. I've updated the article, and the channel has already launched. BTW, I think it actually looks better then the Canadian one, sadly. Anyways, later! MusiMax (talk) 15:32, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pelmorex Radio Network (references and CHUR)
Hi Bearcat, I added some more references from the CRTC to the following radio stations that were sold to a different company. Note incase you didn't know, I also use User:Webfan29 for creating articles, etc.
CJWA-FM [2] CKNR-FM [3] CJMX-FM, CJRQ-FM, CHVR-FM and CHAS-FM. [4]
I also made CHUR into a refering page for Chur, a city in Switzerland and CHUR-FM, a radio station in North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
I guess that's all I did. Let me know what you think about the addition of references I added to the Pelmorex article and CHUR being a refering page.
Have a nice day! take care. :-)

[edit] Nicola (chief) conflicts cat
The reason that cat is there , or was there, is because of the section on Nicola's War, which I didn't )yet) write as an independent article; I wantr34ed to get more accouts; this entry so far is based mostly on J. Teit; Hill-tout and Lundin Brown and also Donald McLean's ft. journals from Ft. Shusweap/Thompson (Kamloops) in which he describes trying to dissuade Nicola from the war of revenge; 1837 or 1838. I don't have those materials on hand (Teit I have on TIF scan). One reason I held back making it separate was I wnated citation for the title, "Nicola's War", whcih may be in print in one of the named histories (Hill-tout and LUndin Brown) although I know I've seeen it more than once; maybe in Rothenburger (one of the historians of the Chilcotin War, anad a descendant of McLean). I'm also sure I saw it in a historical-jnouranlism news column in the Sun, but way back in the '70s or '80s and of the several colunmnbists at the time who might have written it I have only a dim idea who it was; I think it may be mentioned in Paul St. Pierr'es writings, maybe in Breaking Smith's Quarter Horse but I don't think so. Anyway, if other CanEditors can take it on good faith that this war is titled that way, somewhere out there, and more than ocne, but who knows where, I'll break off that article is only as a stub using what's there; it's condensed from Teit quit a bit, there's probably a longer version I could write, and leave a small section ; Dalhousie library (which I'm around the corner from) may even have Hill-tout in their Canadiana, who knows (Lundin Brown won't have much, Hill-tout has quite a bit re the war's impact on the Lower Lillooet, not much on the upper; my Edwards source has some on on what happened to the Lakes Lillooet) There might be other period accounts; all modern native historians are tight as a clam about it, and it's not on any of the related national/tribal websites although there's the occasional tidbit here and there on museum-type pages. What I'm saying is that I wasn't comfortable breaking that article off until it weas more fully written; I see it doesn't ahve to be; it shouldn't be left out of hte Conflicts cat, it was the alrest inter-native war in what is now BC, the only comparable conflict north of 49 and west of the mountains is the Fraser Canyon War, i.e. in terms of numbers fighting asnd numbers killed; in the Lillooet case those t hat were not killed or driven into the mountains were enslaved; Teit notes somewhere that there was a Lillooet slave in every known tribe in the region - "the most enslaved race in the whole region northwest from the Great Basin" I think he puts it, or close to. The Tlingit, the Tahltan, the Flatheads and Ktunaxa, even among the Klamath and Modocs, the Nuu-chah-nulth, Duwamish, Heiltsuk, the Haida; they all had Lillooet slaves at the opening o the colonial period (1843) - I can't remember if Teit makes the causative connection that it was because of this war, so it would be OR to have that if it's only speculated; but it's fairlyl obvious. Well, the Haida are known to have come in over the mountains from Toba Inlet to get some of theirs, rahehr than buying or trading for them on the usual marekt, but...The casualties of the coastal raids/wars are more difficult to estimate, but very few were on such a scale, the the Tongass-Haida raids on Puget Sound in 1856 were supposedly pretty bad. ...so anyway, that's why the conflicts cat was there; I'd "masked the link" when mentioning Nicola's War in various articles, without making a redirect because I was anticipating using tha title for an article; I've been either travelling or too busy elsewhere.....and don't have the books handy to do it well. I just found F.W. Howay's histories online though so we'll see what's in there....not that you needed or wanted to know any of this, I'm just telling you why I'd placed that cat there; I'm more wiki-oriented now and so see why not but dang if it don't give me another project to do befor i can go back on wikibreak.......Skookum1 (talk) 03:26, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] First Nations leaders in Province
I'm not sure this was a good idea. Firstly, many of the leaders you've categorized long pre-date the province. That's anachronism, leaning toward teleology. Second, "in" is a pretty vague term. Walter Dieter may have been from Saskatchewan, but as head of the NIB, he was supposed to represent people from beyond that province, and worked out of Ottawa. I'm not sure "in" makes sense here. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 15:43, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I still don't think classifying people by anachronistic categories is a good idea, but you're right we do it already, and I'm not sure of a better solution. As for the second issue, my suggestion is "First Nations leaders from Province" rather than "in" province. - TheMightyQuill (talk)
-
- Yes he was, but that changed. The fact that he was from Saskatchewan remained true for his entire life. Other people by place categories use the word "from" (eg Category:Canadian senators by province has Category:Canadian senators from Alberta). In Dieter's case, it seems clear that he is famous for his national role, rather than provincial one. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 16:27, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Highway 11B (Ontario)
Another editor has created Highway 11B (Ontario). Since you have edited Highway 11 (Ontario), I thought you might want to look at the new article and either expand it or merge it into Highway 11 (Ontario). On a related topic, there is no Highway 11A (Ontario) article. You you think it would be worthwhile to create a redirect from Highway 11A (Ontario) to Avenue Road, or would people find that confusing? --Eastmain (talk) 00:22, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] We Are Hip Hop, Me, You, Everybody
I noticed you declined a prod on the aforementioned album. Did you notice that this was only a bootleg recording? Despite the decent looking cover art and extensive track list, it's never (according to the article) been available aside from the internet and bootleg vendors. WP:MUSIC speaks to the matter of bootlegs and says "[d]emos, mixtapes, bootlegs, promo-only, and unreleased albums are in general not notable; however, they may be notable if they have significant independent coverage in reliable sources." There were no references offered in the article to indicate significan independent coverage. I would tend to think that this should be deleted per WP:MUSIC. Just my 2¢ worth. Cheers! [edit] Inc.'s and Ltd.'s after radio broadcasting company names
Hi Bearcat, I have noticed that you have removed the "Inc." after Manitoulin Radio Communication. I'm sorry if I added that, I didn't realize you do not want the "Inc.'s". Note that there are still a number of broadcasting companies on List of radio stations in Ontario that currently do have the "Inc." and "Ltd." at the end of the company names, such as: CJRN 710 Inc., Native Communications Inc, K-Rock 105.7 Inc., 1311831 Ontario Ltd., Christian Hit Radio Inc., Pellpropco Inc., Points Eagle Radio Inc., Raedio Inc., and Wired World Inc., etc. The reason why I added the "Inc." after Manitoulin Radio Communication on the Ontario radio station's and the article page because its listed that way on the CRTC website and the Canadian Communications Foundation. [edit] Something is terribly wrong with Category:Rugrats and All Grown Up!
Hi, I noticed that that a template for Category:Rugrats and All Grown Up! appears at the bottom of the article The Lump -- and yet doesn't appear in the list of categories when you click "edit." I checked the category page for Category:Rugrats and All Grown Up!, revealing that it has similary infected dozens of articles on short animated films. [edit] New Project
Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.
If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 02:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

For musicians there is Leela Gilday, she plays guitar and sings. Carol Morin is a writer, a musician and a visual artist according to this but is better known for her TV work. There are of course a lot of muscians in the NWT but few notable enough for Wikipedia. There were a couple that I thought of that might merit an article, Ted Wesley also try this, it's a subscription site but it let me in anyway. There is also The Gumboots who have 3 or 4 albums out.
Writers, well there is John Sissons, mainly a judge, can't think what he wrote but I suspect that it was his biography. Jake Ootes used to write columns for the News/North when he was a publisher. Shane Koyczan is a poet from Yellowknife. There is one more and it was the first one I found mainly because I remembered the name, Tyler Heal, who is of course User:YK Times and a musician as well. Is it appropriate to move the old content into the DNE page under a "Richardson" sub-heading? They put up nice signs on the boarder for DNE, I was going to take a picture and post that. Argh!! Put it back! I was just about to remove the tag. It ain't advertising at all. Read the thing! Please put it back now, and then discuss. Wikidea 17:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Mate, the onus is on the administrator to not delete pages without reading them. Wikidea 17:13, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I just would have thought that if you read the article, and read that this man is notable for consistently losing all his cases, then you would not have thought it was advertising! :) Wikidea 17:16, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, Bearcat, I see what happened: someone had deleted most of the content of the cases, which I had summarised - and changed the second section. So yes, I can see, on reading it then it must have looked like blatant advertising. That's all being fixed now if you'd like to have another look. Wikidea 17:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Canadian Tourist info stations and others
Hi Bearcat, how are you? I just wanted to let you know that I had recently created a Category:Tourist information radio stations in Canada page. I've also created a number of new radio articles for some of the tourist info stations, including a christian station out of St Thomas, Ontario, etc. Take care. (Webfan29)
[edit] Callsigns not listed in recnet
Hi Bearcat, I had added some new radio stations that were given approval by the CRTC today and one of them are Pickle Lake and Thunder Bay that have no callsigns available for those two transmitters, so I put them as "Callsign TBA"=To be announced. There are other stations that have been given approval, plus some new applications for new radio services. [7] Take care! :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.123.75 (talk) 17:10, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Rob Thompson (musician): Hard Rock Miners
Hi, I see you have a history of working on the article Hard Rock Miners. I'm looking at one of its members, Rob Thompson (musician), from the project Wikipedia:Unreferenced articles where it is one of the longest {{unreferenced}} tagged articles that does not meet at least the barest minimum of verifiability. It has been tagged and completely without references since June 2006. It would be extremely helpful if you had some references you could add to the article to help support its verifiability and notability. Thanks for any help you can give! [edit] Concerns
I have some concerns about your actions, and if it goes unaddressed, I'm prepared to start an RFC.
1. You hardly ever use edit summaries. This drives me batty as I have no idea what you have done. (See also Help:Edit summary.)
2. You arbitrarily deleted the category Category:CJOH without any discussion.
3. You start "RFC"'s on the Canadian Wikipedians Notice Board, but you never follow through with the formal process of adding the proper tags, and so forth.
These issues really need to be addressed. I would appreciate a reply. GreenJoe 17:36, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- I know there are tags for RFCs in the classes listed in the box on the right but I don't think templates have been created or enabled for RFCs on the Canadian Wikipedians Notice Board. Am I wrong? If so, I'm guilty as well since there's nothing about RFC templates the I can see on the Canadian wikipiedians' notice board. Reggie Perrin (talk) 18:16, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

- I've looked at the Canadian Wikipedians Notice Board again and there's no process mentioned for RFCs other than just adding them to the top of the list. Maybe there should be one (actually, it's a good idea) but bearcat can't be taken to task for not following instructions that don't exist. Reggie Perrin (talk) 18:22, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- I would think that you use the regular RFC, and once listed there, you then put it on WP:CWNB. GreenJoe 17:39, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- That's a fair suggestion but it's not part of the instructions for RFCs on WP:CWNB. It's equally as fairminded to say that you can list an RFC there without listing it elsewhere if you think it wouldn't be of interest to non-Canadian editors. The point is, in the absence of a specific instructions, there's no reason why an editor would automatically assume that an RFC listed at WP:CWNB also needs to be listed in one of the main RFC lists. You certainly can't take someone to task for not following a procedure that doesn't exist, particularly when it's not uncommon for an RFC to be listed only on WP:CWNB if it's seen as a matter that's only of concern to Canadian editors. I didn't bring this up at the time, but since concerns are being mentioned, why did you edit my own comment on my own talk page? I don't recall asking you to maintain my Talk. And why would you do it with no edit summary? It looks to me like you were making a large run of edits and maybe not paying attention - but that's impossible to determine. Franamax (talk) 18:27, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks Bearcat for your note. Please link me to the specific policy page that supports your statements, for my better education. In the meantime, please do not modify any contents of my talk page without leaving an explanatory note. In particular, please do not make changes to my talk page without leaving at least an edit summary. I hope you understand that this involves the integrity of the threads attributed to my actions. Your silent modifications are not helpful, please do not repeat them. Thanks! Franamax (talk) 00:15, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, hi. Do I get a reply? GreenJoe 17:37, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
I apologize for the late reply. Things were busy for me too. I didn't realize people did that on the CWNB, so that is my fault for not knowing. The rest of your reply I'll post in due course. GreenJoe 16:06, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Travis Hafner & Pronk articles
Hi Bearcat ... I see that the creator of Pronk (Travis Hafner) removed the merge tags from that article and Travis Hafner. He/She also removed a prod tag from the Pronk article without explanation. I'm not well-versed in how these things are handled here. Do you know what our options are for dealing with this situation? I don't think a good argument can be made to keep the Pronk article. --Sanfranman59 (talk) 03:41, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Montréal-Ouest
Hey, can you move Montréal-Ouest, Quebec back to Montreal West, Quebec? It looks like another admin has moved the page with the edit summary that Montréal-Ouest" is the official name. Based on the explanation you gave me here: Talk:St. Leonard, Quebec#Requested move and WP:CANSTYLE I think it should be moved back. Especially given that their website clearly identifies the town as Montreal West in English montreal-west.ca/en/ (in the French section of the site, notice that the domain is montreal-west.ca/fr/ and not montreal-ouest.ca/fr . [edit] Category:Ontario communities with large francophone populations
Yeah, I fully support the renaming. Only reason I gave it this name, was to be consistent with the similar category I made for Quebec, Category:Quebec communities with important anglophone populations (Someone suggested substituting important for large, which is what I did here.) Being a Quebecer, I'm not entirely sure how the "bilingual community" system works in Ontario, but it does sound like the right way to go due to the official nature of it. (I think its any community with over 10% of its population being francophone, or more than 1,000 francophone inhabitants or something?) If you think there is a better name for the Quebec category feel free to move it as well. Cheers. MTLskyline (talk) 02:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Head of state of Canada
Hi Bearcat, I thought I'd explain why I reverted an edit you made. You took Category:Heads of state of Canada out of Category:Members of the Parliament of Canada.
As set out in the Constitution Act, 1867 (discussed in the lead of Parliament of Canada), the parliament is composed of the House of Commons, the Senate, and the sovereign. (I think in my edit summary I said "House of Lords" rather than "senate", which is obviously wrong; I just have the UK on the brain right now). As you know, the head of state of Canada is the sovereign. Thus, the heads of state of Canada have been members of the Canadian parliament, just as members of the House of Commons and senators have been. True, the sovereign is not an "MP" if what you mean by that is the colloquial meaning of "member of the House of Commons". But the sovereign is a member of the Parliament of Canada. Thanks! [edit] Anti-tobacco
Just want a second opinion. I am trying to make the initial draft for an article in User:Otolemur crassicaudatus/Anti-tobacco movement in Nazi Germany. But previously I built the article (which was very short consisted of only one paragraph and not similar to the present version which you see in my sandbox) in mainspace a bit early where most of the information came from this reference and an editor blanked the article saying it was copyvio. I speedied the previous mainspace article so that I can complete the article in my personal sandbox which I have done. I used several references for this article, but a bit afraid if I am again accused of copyvio of this reference. I have greatly changed the semantics and done massive rewording for the information which comes from this reference (reference number 3). I want your opinion before placing it to mainspace and I also want to know what should I do if any user again blank the page saying it a copyvio. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 06:26, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think the copyvio issue is irrelevant since the rewording and more referencing done. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 06:48, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] College radio stations
I'm all in favor of the deletion and upmerge of those two categories but once it was taken to CfD, shouldn't it have been allowed to run its course? [edit] Radio call signs from black to red links (Canada)
Hi Bearcat, i recently got rid of the black links on call signs on all lists of radio stations in Canada, so if there's any information to be found on red link radio call signs in canada, those articles may be created to become blue. The only call signs i've left out are mostly the ones that start with "VF", there are a few stations with VF that do have their own articles, such as VF8016 in St. Thomas, Ontario and a few have red links or blue links which is a repeater from another radio station article. As for the two stations in Pickle Lake and Thunder Bay, Ontario, etc. i have recently sent an e-mail to the new station in Pickle Lake to find out what the new call signs will be and i have not received a reply yet, so i still can't find any information regarding these stations on recnet or anywhere else. For CKPT-FM, i've been doing edits on the article by deleting some old links such as ckpt.com and adding links from newspaper articles, the station's new website link, regarding the station's move to 99.7 FM this week and the former AM transmitters coming down, etc. this should add more historical info on CKPT. Congratulations for the hard work on wikipedia. Keep it up!!! take care. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.123.75 (talk) 04:00, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Blood sweat and ears
Hi, I just started looking at bumping this article up a bit, and saw on the deletion discussion that you have access to an older (and hopefully more informative) version of the article. Is there any chance you could restore that version to User:Apsouthern/Sandbox so I can have a play around with it? Thanks --Apsouthern (talk) 14:55, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry that I hadn't noticed until too late that you'd moved Arthur Black previously.
I felt and feel that it is different from honorary and an internet search provided enough apparently reliable sources for me to confirm and move.
Looking now through my paper books, I see that CanOxford, OED, and Globe & Mail Style Guide agree with you to drop the "u" so I suppose I shall now undo my work (actually, I see you've done it). Thanks, DoubleBlue (Talk) 19:19, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Etiquette of merging
You did not actually move everything over from Lafontaine and also I think that it would have been far better etiquette to actually put up a proposal to merge on the Talk page before making an unannounced undiscussed move and its still not referenced so should I move everything in Tiny to Simcoe County? Dabbler (talk) 11:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- The reason I "jumped down your throat" was because I was annoyed at the lack of discussion/warning rather than the actual action you took. You are probably right in what you did, but as far as I am concerned, not in the way you did it. Dabbler (talk) 15:49, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Question on Revision History pages
Hi Bearcat, I noticed on the List of radio stations in Ontario [revision history page] that I had put the incorrect city of licence for CBON-FM-29 in Marathon, Ontario from CFMN. Instead of Marathon, I accidently put Dryden instead as "(Changed Dryden's CFMN to CBON-FM-29.)" This was done on April 20, 2008. Question: is there a way I can correct that? I tried correcting it on the revision page through edit this page but instead it gives me the List of radio stations in Ontario edit page. Please let me know, if I can correct revision pages.
