[edit] removed mangaka info

Removed the following section:

Tomo Matsumoto was born on January 8th in Osaka and made the switch from nurse to mangaka with her debut story Nemuru Hime (Sleeping Princess) in Lunatic LaLa magazine in 1995. Her other works include Kiss, a series about piano lessons and love, 23:00, a book about street dancing, and Eikaiwa School Wars (English School Wars), which is currently serialized in Monthly LaLa magazine. Ms. Matsumoto loves dancing and taking English lessons.

This info should be put on Tomo's page. But it needs to be rewritten since it's a direct copy from the Shoujobeat site (I think copying text from websites wasn't allowed, but I'm not sure) Ninja neko 19:48, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion

Okay, I never objected against a deletion, but I'll try to make my reasons clear here. The reasons this article (well, stub) was nominated:

  1. Non-notable
  2. WP not a directory
  3. A collection of plot and character summaries
  4. No real-world significance + no references
  5. An advert

My reasons to remove the nomination:

  1. How do you decide whether or not a certain manga is notable? It was notable enough (in it's own genre) to be picked up by a foreign publisher. I believe it is (or was) even a goal of the wikiproject manga to get all licensed manga's their own article.
  2. I'm not sure if argument applies to this article/stub
  3. This article/stub is written following the guidelines of the Wikiproject anime and manga. They actually advice a plot summary and character listings.
  4. Again, same deal as with point 1.
  5. True, the style of this article is written as an advert. Especially the summary, which was taken from the publisher's site. I'll remove that one per WP:CP

Also note that this article is a stub (as indicated with the template at the bottom). So it is far from complete yet, and much approval is needed.

Concerning the notability of a manga, I'd like to discuss this on the wikiproject anime & manga's talk page. I'd like to know what is considered notable manga by the other project members. If it's decided that this manga is not notable, it can be put back up for deletion. Ninja neko 18:45, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
