The most controversial issue of Beacon. The famous statement by His Holiness The Dalai Lama - "I am not seeking independence for Tibet" was given to Beacon during an interview with Barun Roy and Published in this issue. The controversial Chinese Map showing Sikkim, Darjeeling Hills, parts of Kashmir, Himachal and North East was published for the first time in India in this this issue.
