Beautiful Machine is the name of the seventh album from Shihad and was released April 21, 2008 in New Zealand and released May 17, 2008 in Australia.
From the tracks played in Shihad's many recent life performances, the album sounds like a mix of their self-titled album's lyrics and The General Electric's electronica/rock sound.
The lead single "One Will Hear the Other" was released early January 2008, and since then has consistently been in the Top 10 Weekly Most Played songs in New Zealand, despite being a Digital Download only release.
"Vampires" has been announced as the second single from the album, while "Count It Up" has been played as a preview track on various NZ Rock Radio stations as an album teaser.
