Beaumont-sur-Sarthe is a town situated in the Sarthe department in the Pays de la Loire in France.
The locals are known as “Belmontais”.
Beaumont's mayor is François Robin and he has been mayor since 2001. Prior to this Jean-Marie Foussard was the mayor.

Beaumont is situated half way between Alençon (24 km) and Le Mans (25 km). Fresnay-sur-Sarthe is 12 km away, Ballon 13 km, Sillé-le-Guillaume 21 km and Mamers 25 km. Like the name indicates, Beaumont lies on the river Sarthe.

Beaumont sur Sarthe’s coat of arms is blue with a lion on the front and has fleurs de lys in the background.
Beaumont-sur-Sarthe is a village and commune in the Sarthe département of France, in the région Pays-de-la-Loire.

Beaumont-sur-Sarthe is twinned with the town of Burgh le Marsh in Lincolnshire England. This twinning began in 1988 and celebrated its 20th Anniversary this year. The celebrations took place on the weekend of 10 May 2008. The Chairman of the Beaumont sur Sarthe Twinning Association is Claude Menard and the Chairman of the Burgh le Marsh Twinning Association is Neil Cooper.
