Beaufort Street is a major road in the inner north-eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, linking the Morley area to the central business district. For most of its length, it is a single-carriageway, two-way road with two lanes in each direction, but between Wellington Street and Brisbane Street, it is a one-way street (being a continuation of Barrack Street), with southbound traffic being directed along Brisbane Street onto William Street[1]. The street also serves as a shopping and eating strip for nearby residents, especially in Mount Lawley and Inglewood. The street is served by Transperth 21 and 22 bus routes for its entire length, and the 67, 68 and 69 routes between Perth and Grand Promenade, Bedford.[2]
It was built initially to service the Mount Lawley area in the early 20th century.
