[edit] Early life

Beau Dentro grew up in the small town of Daylesford, Australia. With approximately 2000 residents, it is renowned for its natural spring mineral spas[1].

[edit] Funky Banana Dance Company

In 2002, Dentro joined the Funky Banana dance company, a small donation dependant company, known for using seemingly obscure cultural references as inspiration for politically charged performances.

[edit] Controversy

After landing the lead role in the 2003 production, The Weetbix Massacre, Dentro was involved in an altercation with the company director. A stand-off ensured resulting in the performance being cancelled and Dentro subsequently being expelled from the company.

[edit] Music career

In 2005 Dentro moved to Paris, France, wishing to pursue a musical career. It was here that he began to record in earnest, being particularly prolific in the period between the beginning of September 2005 to early 2006.

[edit] This Cruel World

These recordings would be the main body of work to make up his debut album This Cruel World. A somewhat nostalgic, and darkly comical social commentary. It was a commercial failure.

[edit] Music Clips

Dentro has also released numerous experimental dance/music clips, starring himself. Of those recorded, only Dancing Deer actually features one of his original recordings.

[edit] Stalking Charges and Prison

After returning to Australia in June 2007, Dentro was charged with cyberstalking Orlando Bloom look-a-like Timothy Dalston. The charges were contested by Dentro's legal representation on the grounds that the offenses originated in France and therefore were outside the jurisdiction of Australian law. The judge dismissed these claims and Dentro was handed a restraining order. After repeatedly violating the order, and after being found guilty of perjury, Dentro was sentenced to 3 months in a minimum security prison. Unable to return to Paris due to the possibility of facing similar charges, Dentro currently resides in London, England.
