Beat Union are a pop-punk band from Birmingham, United Kingdom. They were formerly known as Shortcut to Newark.[1]

They have toured with the likes of Gym Class Heroes, Taking Back Sunday, Goldfinger, The Wildhearts, Hit the Lights, Alexisonfire, Zox and Good Charlotte. They are now on tour with Westbound Train and Bedouin Soundclash.

Their debut full-length album, Disconnected, was released on Science Records in April 2008. It was produced with the help of John Feldmann, producer and frontman of Goldfinger.
