Beagle Island

Beagle Island is a low, flat granite island, with an area of 1.2 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of Tasmania’s Badger Island Group, lying in eastern Bass Strait west of Flinders and Cape Barren Islands in the Furneaux Group. It is a nature reserve.

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species are Little Penguin, Short-tailed Shearwater, Pacific Gull, Silver Gull, Sooty Oystercatcher, Black-faced Cormorant and Caspian Tern.[1]
