"Be the Man" is the second single from Céline Dion's Let's Talk About Love album. It was released on November 13, 1997 in Japan only.
"Be the Man" was written specially for the Japanese TV drama entitled Eve - Santaclaus Dreaming and included on the EVE original soundtrack album, released on November 13, 1997 in Japan. There were two versions of this song recorded: English and Japanese.
No music video was made.
Sony Music wanted to repeat "To Love You More" single's success. "Be the Man" reached #24 on the Oricon chart and was certified platinum (100,000).
The song was also a B-side to "The Reason" single, released at the same time in the United Kingdom.
"Be the Man" wasn't available on the North American version of Let's Talk About Love. English version of this song was included later on the Japanese edition of Céline Dion's greatest hits album All the Way… A Decade of Song. Japanese version of "Be the Man" became available worldwide on The Collector's Series, Volume One in 2000.
