Be2gether Festival is the largest musical and artistic festival in Baltic region countries, apparently takes place in Lithuania, close to Belarus borderline.

The first Be2gether festival took place on the 24th-26th of August, 2007. The second festival will be arranged on the 14th-17th of August, 2008.

Festival is set in unique surroundings of Dieveniskes (Dieveniškės), which are environed by Belarus. There are five ancient pathways of Dieveniskes leading to Vilnius (The capital of Lithuania). Local environment fascinates everyone with it’s nature surroundings and exclusive atmosphere, bearing in mind the fact of cultural promiscuity of Lithuanian, Belarusian, Polish and Russian. All these cultures related to the same history, because of united GDL (The Great Duchy of Lithuania).

Local people are restricted by the borderline which marks a margin among the European Union and the last European dictatorship country, but people still smile, love and feel sadness, despite the different political system. Therefore, festival’s organizers trying to put their efforts to create an opportunity for Belarus people to be involved in such great event to make sense of being free with others for a couple of fascinating and charming days. Besides, it is one of the aim to cherish friendship between different cultures.

Be2gether festival gathers various fanciers with different musical flavors in 100 he plot of Norviliškės castle. In three massive scenes you can listen rock, electronic, “world” and alternative music played by worlds famous bands. Those who come to the festival can settle down in special holiday camp.

The entertaining side of the festival is based on craft studios and lots of other fascinating entertaining, that grabs everyone attention to try their own luck, creative work and try to chill out. Cinema under the open sky, sport games, music, dance lessons, special relaxation zones, drawing, all of that is just a part of all entertainments. There are special places prepared for children with supervisors, thus parents can leave their children in safe environment.

Be2gether festival is involved into the list of "Vilnius - European Capital of Culture 2009" events. Part of the money gathered during the festival is dedicated for humanitarian aid.

Be2gether unite thousands of people for purpose to be together, despite the fact of cultural, national, age or social position distinctions. Music opens boders.

The first festival was supported by two large scenes and club tent. Within three days and two nights, 32 music groups from all over the world arranged their shows:

Be2gether art and entertainment spaces were included with Užupis embassy, cinema under the open sky, photo hunting, art studio, "LT 1000" photo studio, alternative basketball and football. Moreover, there were football matches, imaginary weddings, review of extreme films, footbag competition, body painting, graffiti tournament and the biggest ‘"Ecological blues" painting was made also. Nevertheless, humanitarian projects such as "Big Brother Big Sister" and “Live Library” were introduced to people.

Part of the money gained from tickets selling was donated to Chachersk children injured by the Chernobyl nuclear power station crash (Gomel district, Belarus).

Martynas Starkus made the movie about the first Be2gether festival. The movie is compiled with three basic scopes: festival’s organizers and musicians, festival’s visitors and local citizens. There was limited edition of DVD movie released with first tickets included in it for Be2gether festival in 2008.
