[edit] History

It was first mentioned in 1564. During Ottoman rule (16th-17th century) the village of Beška was populated by Serbs. During Habsburg rule, ethnic Germans settled here as well. As a consequence of World War II events in Yugoslavia, German population fled from the village after this war, while new inhabitants mostly originating from Croatia settled in the village instead of the Germans.
