Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the fair use laws of the United States of America because:

  1. This image illustrates an educational article about the BC Ambulance Service.
  2. This image is used as the primary means of identification of the BC Ambulance Service. The source of the image is the official public website for the British Columbia Ambulance Service which can be found at BCAS Public Site (Last Revised: February 15, 2007).
  3. This logo is primarily found on the side doors of company vehicles (i.e., ambulances, support and supervisory vehicles).
  4. This image is reduced in size to be a low resolution image and thus is not suitable for production of counterfeit goods.
  5. The logo is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by the owner of the logo. To wit, the article includes information not found on the official BC Ambulance website that is useful for new applicants and others wishing to obtain EMA licensure in BC.
  6. This image is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
