Talk:BC Powder

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ingredient-list given here is accurate for only the regular variety. The "arthritis strength" version (which incidentally has a green package and logo) contains 742mg aspirin, 38 mg caffeine, and 222mg salicylamide. Do we really need to get this specific at all, though? Would it be more logical to leave out the detailed content info, but list the ingredients and note that there are varying strengths? [edit] Also... salicylamide?

Can anyone provide a decent reference page for this substance? I know next to nothing about it. This is actually what I came here to look up - the uses of salicylamide - but obviously I had to look elswhere... so I'll use some of the very basic info I just found to set up a stub, so that the link from the BC article will at least lead to something (and because I need the practice!), but it won't be overly helpful, so more from an actual expert would be good! For instance, why is it 1. beneficial and 2. safe to use two closely related drugs in the same formula? Inquiring minds want to know! :) Hierophany 10:56, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
