It has two programme slots, broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland's Shetland frequency (92.7MHz). It is also possible to listen via the BBC Radio player bbc.co.uk - BBC Radio Scotland

Good Evening Shetland is broadcast 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM GMT each weeknight. It features news and current affairs, weather, fishing reports, regional job offers, public platform and a section called "Clear Da Air". There's a weekly dedications programme broadcast Friday evenings 6:05 to 7:00 GMT. The winter schedule offers varied programming Monday to Thursday 6:05 to 7:00 in addition to the main "Good Evening Shetland" programme. The "Round Shetland Quiz" is broadcast on alternate Wednesdays during the winter months.

The BBC Shetland studio is located in Pitt Lane, Lerwick. Senior Producer is Caroline Moyes. Producers are Carol Anderson and Mike Grundon. Other staff include Jane Moncrieff and Helen Smith. John Johnson produces both TV and Radio locally and for the national networks.
