The Mid City Bayou Boogaloo is a free admission festival on the banks of the historic Bayou St. John in New Orleans, Louisiana. Described as a mini-Jazz Fest, the all day festival features New Orleans music, art, cuisine and culture. The event was created by Jared Zeller to help restore the Mid City neighborhood after Hurricane Katrina.
In 2007 Walter "Wolfman" Washington and the Roadmasters, Soul Rebels Brass Band and Anders Osborne were among the many performers.
The 2008 Bayou Boogaloo will be held on Saturday, May 24th.
