Bayou Academy is a non-profit private school located near Cleveland, Mississippi on Highway 8. The school serves about 250 students in grades PK through 12.
The school is accredited by the Mississippi Private School Association.

Bayou Academy participates in the Mississippi Private School Association for their sports programs. [5]. Bayou Academy has won one football Class AA state championship in 1992, one Class A baseball state championship in 2007, and runner up in football in 1991, 1996,and 2007. The high school softball team won in 2006 and 2007. The sports team's rival is North Sunflower Rebels located in Ruleville, Mississippi. The school's colors are royal blue, white, and black and its mascot is the Colts.
