Bayi

Bayi (Simplified Chinese:八一, lit. eight-one, which means "August 1" ) is the anniversary of Nanchang Uprising, which is considered as the founding of the People's Liberation Army, and thus a common name used by entities under the People's Liberation Army.
These entities with Bayi in their names include:
- Bayi Rockets, men's basketball team in the Chinese Basketball Association.
- Bayi China Telecom, in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association.
- Bayi Football Team, men's soccer team.
- Bayi Xiangtan, women's soccer team.
- Bayi Gongshang, men's table tennis team in the China Table Tennis Super League.
- Nanchang Bayi, men's soccer team.
- August 1st (aerobatic team), also called the Bayi Aerobatics Team
