Bayford railway station serves the villages of Bayford and Brickendon in Hertfordshire, England. The station is on the Hertford Loop Line 30 km (18¾ miles) north of London Kings Cross.
The station is unmanned and some distance from both villages so those of nervous disposition travelling at night might want to arrange to be met. The ticket machine hasn't worked for some time and if no ticket inspector is on the train it's easier to change and get a ticket at Finsbury Park than go any further into London.
[edit] Services
Monday to Fridays there is a train every 20 minutes to Moorgate in London southbound and to Hertford North northbound with one train per hour extended to Letchworth Garden City.
Evenings and Weekends, the southbound service terminates at London Kings Cross and is half-hourly. The northbound service is also half-hourly to Hertford North and hourly to Stevenage.
