Bay rum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bay rum is the name of a cologne or an aftershave lotion. Other uses include as under-arm deodorant and as a fragrance for shaving soap.
It is a distillate that was originally made from rum and the leaves and/or berries of the West Indian Bay tree, Pimenta racemosa. Other ingredients may be citrus and spice oils.
Bay rum was quite popular in the early 20th century; while still in use, it is no longer common.
