Carrie begins dating Sean and then invites her to his housewarming party, where Charlotte says that Sean will propose to Carrie. Miranda is set up with Syd because others at her law firm believe her to be lesbian. She is then invited to a law firm dinner and uses it to allow her boss to hear about her work at the firm. Samantha has a night of fun with Charlotte's doorman. Carrie dumps Sean because she is unsure of what she wants, but recommends him to Charlotte. However Charlotte dumps Sean because his china pattern was "American Classic" and hers is "French Country".
