[edit] Baxter (Swedish band) and Baxter (Post-Hardcore Band).

Why don't we seperate these two articles. They're both important enough to have seperate pages.Howl5 22:00, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I second this. There's enough there that even if the resulting split formed two stubs, it'd at least make it easier to go in and expand upon what is there instead of getting daunted by one running into the other so haphazardly. 75.2.1.214 03:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Having looked at the material on the Chicago Baxter, I don't see how they meet WP:BAND; they're more a footnote, probably best as a section in Tim McIlrath or (possibly) Rise Against. I think a split would mean a trip to AFD for the Chicago band. (Tell me I'm wrong.) --Dhartung | Talk 04:58, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
  • The old Chicago band is actually pretty well known regionally and locally. I live in Indianapolis, and I remember Baxter. I am pretty sure they did national touring. Regarldess, I would make another article for the Chicago band. Missvain 03:38, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
"Pretty sure" isn't citable. :-( Anyway, I have this quote:
Tim: I played in a band called Baxter. We never really did anything outside of Chicago. So we were just a local band.
Alas, I think that seals the deal. --Dhartung | Talk 11:38, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Well i created another baxter article because they do gotta alot of fans and you can delete it but I wouldn't. Howl5 01:59, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, that's an amazingly brilliant line of reasoning. By that regard, any fly by night band or 15 minutes of fame schmuck could gain an entry into Wikipedia based on the criteria "they do gotta alot of fans". --75.2.43.172 03:12, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

You know usually I'd be pretty pissed but that was actually pretty good.Howl5 01:41, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
