Coordinates: Bawal is in Rewari district in the state of Haryana, India. It is strategically located on NH-8 south of Gurgaon. It is about 12 km from Rewari, 60 km from Gurgaon (the Mall city and house of many auto majors), 35 km from Khukhera (Site for Honda Siel Cars India's Second Plant).

Bawal has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
