Jay Batson is a technology entrepreneur and executive.
He founded:
- Plum Canary, a Collaborative software tool to help teams manage the execution of teamwork-related activities.
- Pingtel, a Voice over IP PBX and IP phone company, employing the Session Initiation Protocol for signaling;
- Energy Logic Systems, an firm providing an online database of oil and gas mineral leasehold ownerhip information (sold to Petroleum Information which was, at the time of the acquisition, a subsidiary of Dun & Bradstreet).
He is also Managing Director (European-title-equivalent of CEO in the US) for the SIP Forum and the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He uses Mediawiki as the wiki for the SIP Forum, and has contributed to VoIP, and Project Management page content on Wikipedia.
