[edit] Rewrite
I've written an introductory paragraph and done a lot of reformatting, but this is badly in need of a rewrite to make it less POV (it currently reads like promotional material) and provide a better overview of BB's history. I've removed the red links to albums; I suggest these are reinstated if and when articles about said albums are ever written. I also think the list of solo albums ought to be deleted or moved to articles on the relevant musicians (only John McCusker has such an article at the moment), but I'm leaving them for now. [edit] Opinions on Moving Article
I think the main article should be at "The Battlefield Band" — which is the full name of the group — and that the redirect page should be here. Anyone want to weigh in before I do anything? - Anna Kucsma 19:56, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree - the official name is just "Battlefield Band" without the article. All their albums (with the possible exception of some of the early ones) and their official website omit the The. A site search of said website does bring up just 15 results for The Battlefield Band, but almost all of them are from reviews. Peruse the website, meanwhile, and you'll find only references along the lines of "Named after the Glasgow suburb of Battlefield, ... Battlefield Band have been on the world's roads for just on 30 years now". -- Blisco 22:45, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

- Hmmm.... Odd that their name doesn't include the article; the "Band" part of the name makes it sound like it needs a definite article. - Anna Kucsma 15:09, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Date of founding
What is the band's exact date/year of establishment? Badagnani 10:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
