[edit] Caerleon not on the coast?

Caerleon is about 5 miles from the coast whereas Chester is about 9 miles from the coast. However, I am unsure why the proximity to the coast is seen as being relevant. My understanding is that the reference to the battle is translated as "the ninth battle was at the City of Legion, which the Britons call Cair Lion" with no mention of being near the coast Tonyddyer (talk) 10:14, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
