Talk:Battle of Tettenhall

[edit] Lindsey
Article referred to Lindsey in Northumbria. It linked to the pre-1974 county, so I have redirected it to the Anglo-Saxon "kingdom" of Lindsey. Also removed reference to Northumbria. Lindsey was under Deiran influence in early 7th century, but was associated with Mercia long before the Danish occupation.Sjwells53 (talk) 18:39, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Page Move
As sources are split as to whether the battle took place at Tettenhall or at Wednesfield, the page name does not conform to neutrality. I would suggest a move to "Battle of Wednesfield or Tettenhall", or "Battle of Tettenhall or Wednesfield". Wolverhampton History and Heritage Society gives a good overview of the location issue. - Almost every battle during this period could be disputed on location and this is the most recognised name. Just mention in the article that it may have been somewhere different. We shouldn't move this. --Tefalstar (talk) 19:49, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
