[edit] Was the Peace Treaty in effect?

"Therefore Price's attack on Santa Cruz de Rosales took place entirely after peace had been made between the two nations." -- However, the peace treaty had not yet been ratified by Mexico,- it was ratified on 5/19. Ekem 23:44, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Thats true. Thanks. (Jeremy Bentham)

Hi--I have been reseraching this battle for five years and have an article in submission with the new Mexico Historical Review. Actually, in fairness to gen'l Price, he was unaware of any treaty or cease fire agreement. The treaty was not ratified until after the battle, but there was a cease fire in effect.
