[edit] Photo question.

The Photo captioned "marines on Kwajalein" may have been taken on roi-namur? This caption should be confirmed.

[edit] Headings

I thought I would break this up into headings, similar to the way the article on Iwo Jima is broken up. However there really is more than one island involved here, so it may make snes to break the article in subcategories on each assault. It may well be that Roi-Namur is worth a break out page. Any thoughts?

I think it is unlikely that the assault on Kwajalein was supported by B-29 bombers as stated in the article. To my knowledge, the B-29 was not fielded in the Pacific until after April 1, 1944. Perhaps the author means B-17. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.160.179.232 (talk • contribs) 22:01, 11 May 2007

You're right about the B-29s; they were B-24s. [1]

[edit] reorganization

I think this article needs to be reworked. The battle of Kwajalien was on component of the larger seizure of Kwajalien Atoll. Ultimately the battle should be clarified as the battle of Kwajalien Atoll to distinguish it from the Battle of Kwajalien Island. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JBickley00 (talkcontribs) 19:46, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

This article, like every source I've seen, treats the battle for the atoll as the "Battle of Kwajalein". We don't even have sections for the two main engagements of the battle — we don't need separate articles.
