I removed the statement This was the first brevet promotion the Unites States awarded. This needs a citation as there are instances of officers being breveted in the revolutionary war. older≠wiser 03:04, Jan 2, 2005 (UTC)

• This article needs in line citations to improve its class rating. Also the Introduction paragraph needs to be worked on. It doesn't explain the article well. -Jahnx (talk) 09:47, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
