Talk:Battle of Al Qaim
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't see anywhere in the http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8050339/ article that keeps being cited that says 31 killed, nor even anything that can be extrapolated to get that (or any) figure for this location during this timeframe. 76.22.4.86 02:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- The only mention of Al Qaim in the above referenced article is:
“ | Jump in insurgent deaths
But the most dramatic rise in deaths was among insurgents. The huge jump is believed linked to two large-scale U.S. military operations conducted in western Iraq during May, Operation New Market in the town of Haditha and Operation Matador around the town of Qaim, that killed about 140 insurgents and about 100 suicide bombings since April 28, according to an Associated Press count. |
