This is a historical marker describing the battle fought by General Samuel Elbert and his men as they conducted a rearguard action against the advancing British troops of Lt. Colonel Mark Prevost. This picture was taken by the author's cousin W. 'Scottie' Scott on March 3, 2007 - 228th anniversary of the Battle of Brier Creek. The image was edited by this author and is placed into the public domain.
