Site of the March 3, 1779 Battle of Brier at modern Brannen's Bridges. In the foreground is the historical marker denoting the battle site. In the background can be seen the riverine watercourse of Brier Creek. This picture was taken by the author's cousin W. 'Scottie' Scott on March 3, 2007.
