[edit] Summary

This is where the 12-inch ammunitions for use on the mortars were kept and stored. When it was operational, rail tracks(evident in the photo) were used to move shells and ammunitions to the guns. The storage room goes to about 20 meters inside. These storage rooms are fortified and a direct hit from a sliding bomb is the only risk of destroying the storage room. Bombs that fall directly overhead does not penetrate the fortifications.
