[edit] Fair Use Rationale
Although this image, Batemans-garden-gallery_picture.jpg, may be subject to copyright, I (Sanjay Tiwari 17:24, 1 October 2006 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- the image will be used only in the Wikipedia article Rudyard Kipling to illustrate the location where Rudyard Kipling lived in from 1902 to 1936 and where
he composed many of his famous literary works.
- Images of the house are not available in the public domain
This work is copyrighted and unlicensed. It does not fall into one of the blanket acceptable non-free content categories listed at Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images or Wikipedia:Non-free content#Audio clips. However, it is believed that the use of this work in the article "Rudyard Kipling" :
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content and Wikipedia:Copyrights. |
