This is a low-resolution image of the garden of Rudyard Kipling's house Bateman's in Burwash, East Sussex. The image was downloaded (by Sanjay Tiwari 17:24, 1 October 2006 (UTC)) from the website of the National Trust[1] for fair use in the Wikipedia article on Rudyard Kipling.

[edit] Fair Use Rationale

Although this image, Batemans-garden-gallery_picture.jpg, may be subject to copyright, I (Sanjay Tiwari 17:24, 1 October 2006 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

  • the image will be used only in the Wikipedia article Rudyard Kipling to illustrate the location where Rudyard Kipling lived in from 1902 to 1936 and where

he composed many of his famous literary works.

  • Images of the house are not available in the public domain
