Batusanschi is a surname that originates from an old region in Bessarabia, where nowadays is Moldova. There are several variations, such as: Batusanski, which had spread through certain parts in the world because of the Jewish persecutions. Currently there is only one family remaining in Brazil with this surname, which is part in Pernambuco (Brazilian Northeast), part in São Paulo (Brazilian Southeast). There is also a family in France, one in the USA, one in Portugal, one in Israel and another one in Moldova.
Originally written as Batuşanschi, the "ş" is pronounced like sh in show , so, it's read "Bahtooshanskih". It is probable that there are many more Batusanchis all over the world. However, after taking different ways of spelling in every country, they are very difficult to be found.
