The Battle of Zhenhai (Chinese: 镇海之役) was a confrontation between the Asian squadron of the French Navy and the remnants of the Chinese Navy and the harbour defenses in the coastal city of Zhenhai in early March 1885, during the Sino-French War (1884-1885).

The Chinese forces managed to repulsed the French attacks,[1] putting an end to their string of naval successes at the Battle of Foochow (August 1884) and the Battle of Shipu (February 14-15, 1885).
